The City of Richfield in South Minneapolis is in the process of implementing a new bikeway system. Comparable streets to Jefferson Road are Diagonal Boulevard (completed last year) and 76th Street (currently under construction). Richfield has published cross sections of these roadways.
Diagonal Boulevard
Diagonal Boulevard runs from Portland Avenue to Old Cedar Avenue. It has a right-of-way width of 80' and a roadway width of 32'.
76th Street
76th Street is being downgraded from a very tight 4-lane road to a 2-lane roadway. It has a similar traffic count to Jefferson Road and a 60' right of way.
