Glory and Fame

Sam (RiverBend) Originally published March 2004

The only thing people care about is glory
And fame
I know what I’m saying must sound kind
Of lame
But perfection and awards have become a
Tradition
People strive for worldwide recognition
There’s more to life than popularity and
Money
Than being well known, well-liked, and
Funny
Wealth isn’t defined by the size of your
Pocket book
By how well you can sing or how good
You look
Stars are showing off their fancy cares
And “bling-bling”
When there are people out there that don’t
Have a thing
So if you only remember one thing,
Remember this rhyme
Think of the poor if you hit the big time
